Silver Star, our multi-purpose, shallow draught, alloy aluminium catamaran can handle big seas and a multitude of tasks. The 20 tonne extendable A-frame and an 8 tonne Hiab crane on the back deck allow easy deployment of ROV, seabed sampling or underwater surveying equipment.
Fitted with state of the art electronics, the vessel is powered by 2 Caterpillar c18 engines and has multiple steering consoles. The back deck has a 15m x 10m area suitable for sea fastening containers, a hypobaric chamber or storing pallets. A moon pool with a electric raisable transducer pole is located between the hulls.
Silver Star has been fitted out to a high standard; she has a WI-Fi throughout, a fully equipped workshop, crew lounge, laundry, a commercial standard galley with walk-in cool room, separate office areas and comfortable, air-conditioned accommodation. She was purpose-built to handle all conditions and can reach a maximum speed of 12 knots. Silver Star has worked nationally; as a diving platform and carrying out ROV operations.
